Site:Surname categories

Introduction
We ask that a new category be created for each surname, which in turn is a subcategory of the category for surnames in general. When editing an individual, please mark that page as belonging to the proper surname category. For example, if I were editing Caleb Wingate (1744-1817), I would include [[Category:Wingate surname]] at the bottom of the page.
If the category for that surname does not already exist, you will be asked to edit a new page. Be sure to mark it as a surname category by adding [[Category:Surnames]].
